Caring about what you do, especially when it has to do with farming, means taking care of the environment. A great wine is born out of the passion of the producer, but it is also the expression of the land where it grows, and our first objective is to preserve that land. Our wines are produced with sustainable and informed agriculture. We started off as an eco-friendly and sustainable business, and over the years we have worked to increasingly reduce our environmental impact. We practice certified organic farming, using exclusively natural processes.
BOTTLES AND PACKAGING
Over the years, we have worked hard to reduce the weight of bottles, thus reducing our energy requirements and emissions. We also stopped using plastic and styrofoam packaging.
SOLAR PANELS
We have installed solar panels on top of the vat storage. They cover around 80% of our energy requirements, including the cellars’ air-conditioning.
BARRIQUE CELLAR
I Balzini’s barrique cellar is fully underground. This way, the landscape is not affected and ad hoc temperatures are guaranteed without the need for air-conditioning. Additionally, specific light points have been created that allow for visibility without the use of electricity.
